This residential renovation in SW4 transformed a traditional London home through a ground floor extension and a complete internal reconfiguration. Replacing an outdated conservatory, the new rear addition brings clarity, light, and a more generous connection to the garden.
The extension's architecture is clean and harmonious. Two sets of Crittall-style steel doors frame outward views and fully open to create a seamless transition between indoors and out.
A large-format rooflight above the new living area floods the space with natural daylight, establishing a bright and uplifting central hub for the home.
Internally, the layout was reimagined to improve flow and coherence throughout the ground floor. The kitchen, dining, and living areas are now more connected, creating a calm, open environment designed for everyday living.
The material palette is understated, with warm tones and simple finishes that prioritise light and proportion.
This Rodenhurst Road renovation embodies our approach to modernising period homes in London: removing what no longer serves and adding with intention.
